Fire Commissioning Engineer Job Overview Our client, a leading fire and security business with over 25 years' experience in the industry, are seeking a Senior Fire Fault & Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding team. The company specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems across the commercial sector, covering retail, education, hospitality, logistics, facilities management, and more. The role will involve servicing, fault finding, reactive works, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across London, Hertfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. Systems range from small 20-device standalones to large 500 device multi-networked installations. You will also act as the technical lead on-site, providing mentoring and support to junior engineers and ensuring a reliable, professional service to clients. Fire Commissioning Engineer Job Requirements * Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role * Based within 25 miles of St Albans * Strong experience with servicing, fault finding, and commissioning fire alarm systems * Knowledge of Gent, Advanced, Ziton, Morley, Kentec systems * Experience with air sampling, suppression and smoke ventilation systems (beneficial) * Ability to support and mentor team members Fire Commissioning Engineer Salary & Benefits * Basic Salary £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) * Paid door-to-door (hourly rate) * Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (40 hours) * 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays (rising to 30 days with tenure, plus additional leave after 10 years) * Company van and fuel card * Pension * Laptop and phone * Company benefits including death in service and an optional 9-day fortnight * Full benefits package to be discussed at interview Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
