Food Technology ECT

Location: Weston-super-Mare Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS 1 (ECT Scale) An inspiring secondary school with a reputation for nurturing practical skills and wellbeing is looking to appoint a Food Technology ECT for a September start. School Strengths Include: * A culture that values work-life balance and teacher development * Modern food rooms with equipment for a variety of culinary techniques * High engagement in KS3 Food and strong uptake at GCSE * Regular CPD and access to food education networks In This Role You Will: * Teach Food and Nutrition across KS3 and KS4 * Plan lessons that explore both practical and theoretical aspects of food education * Develop cross-curricular links with Science, PSHE, and Geography * Contribute to school-wide events such as Healthy Living Week and Eco Week We’re Looking For: * A Food-related degree and PGCE (or equivalent), with QTS or pending * Enthusiasm for food sustainability, health, and applied science * Strong organisation skills and a practical, hands-on approach to teaching * A collaborative mindset and dedication to your own development
