Refrigeration Engineer – York / Preston / Blackburn & Surrounding Areas Salary: Up to £40,000 Door-to-Door Pay Overtime On-Call Retainer Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm On-Call Rota Location: Covering York, Preston, Blackburn, and surrounding areas We are a family-run, personable catering firm known for our high standards and loyal client base. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team. The Role: * Carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance (PPMs), and installations on commercial refrigeration systems * Work across various sites including hospitality, education, and healthcare environments * Participate in the on-call rota (approximately 1 in 5 weekends) * Complete accurate service reports via tablet/PDA * Deliver excellent service and build trusted relationships with customers What We’re Looking For: * Qualified and experienced Refrigeration Engineer * F-Gas certified (essential) * Experience in commercial or public sector refrigeration environments * Full UK driving licence * Excellent communication and fault-finding skills * Willingness to learn and cross-train into catering equipment (training provided) What’s On Offer: * Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience * Overtime and on-call retainer * Door-to-door pay * Company vehicle, uniform, tools, and tablet provided * Extra day off for your birthday * Company pension, sick pay, and well-being support * Ongoing training including manufacturer courses and cross-training options * Career progression in a growing and supportive business * 20 days holiday bank holidays (rising by 1 day each year, up to 4 years) Interested?
