Job Description Job Description USA SWIM ASSISTANT COACH CLOSING DATE: Open until Filled PAY RATE: $13.56 - $18.99 (Depending on qualification and certification level) SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday: 4:00 - 7:00 pm (Summer practices held Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 10:00 am) DEPARTMENT: Recreation JOB SUMMARY Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working with swimmers ages 6-18 on various points of stroke technique, endurance and speed. Required to be at all practices for assigned group: Monday through Friday: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Summer practices held Monday through Friday: 5 AM to 9 AM, and swim meets are usually held on weekends. Coaching contract is reviewed annually for all assistant coaches. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous swimming and coaching experience. Organized Ability to work well with other coaches, parents and swimmers. Level 1 ASCA Certified Swim Coach, which is comprised of USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching 101 & 201 courses. Coaches Safety Training for Swim Coaches. CPR and First Aid certified. Athlete Protection Training Completion (found on usaswimming.org). Background check through USA Swimming (found on usaswimming.org). Certifications must be obtained within 45 days of hire, if not previously certified.
