About the Role We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking DT department in a supportive and inclusive school community. You’ll be delivering exciting, hands-on lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 — teaching everything from food safety and nutrition to practical cooking and presentation skills. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT ready to bring fresh energy to the classroom. What You’ll Be Doing Delivering engaging Food Tech lessons that combine theory, creativity, and real-life application Preparing students for GCSE success through practical and written assessments Promoting healthy eating, food safety, and a love for cooking Contributing to curriculum development and extracurricular activities (think cooking clubs and school bake-offs!) Creating a safe, inclusive and dynamic learning environment What We’re Looking For QTS with a specialism in Food Technology (DT) Experience teaching Food Tech at Key Stage 3 and 4 Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills Passion for your subject and an ability to make learning accessible and exciting ECTs are encouraged to apply – your fresh ideas are welcome!
