Safety Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Safety Manager to join a team and manage the delivery of safety engineering outputs across multiple projects. This role involves leading a team of safety engineers while working with design engineers, project controllers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality safety engineering outputs. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have: • Leadership skills to manage and support safety engineers at various levels • Ability to deliver Safety Case Reports and supporting documentation (e.g., Hazard Analysis, FTA, etc.) • Experience with UK and international safety and system engineering standards, particularly Def Stan 00-056 • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team • Proven track record of balancing safety against time and cost constraints to construct convincing safety cases • Passion for developing team members, including new starters and members of early careers programmes • Thorough understanding of the integration of safety evaluation processes with systems engineering and product certification • Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and safety issues This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not inclusive of: • Bonus scheme (up to 21% of base salary) • Annual pay reviews and promotion reviews (based on personal performance) • Flexible working arrangements • Enhanced parental leave (up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave) • Pension scheme (total contribution of up to 14%) • Subsidised site facilities and restaurants • Free parking • Excellent career progression and training / career development opportunities.
