Subject Leader of Food Technology / Food Technology Teacher South East England, Berkshire, Reading Permanent, full-time hours Education and Training £31,650.00 - £49,084.00 per annum Benefits: To be discussed Job Duties: Develop and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students Lead the food technology department, providing guidance and support to colleagues Contribute to the development of the food technology curriculum Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback for improvement Organise practical cooking sessions and oversee kitchen safety Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Demonstrated experience in teaching food technology Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field Experience: Previous experience teaching food technology Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage and motivate students Organisational and leadership abilities Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Education Experience in curriculum development Experience in leading a department or team Working Conditions: This role involves working in a school environment, conducting practical cooking sessions, and collaborating with colleagues. Standard hours are full-time, with occasional evening or weekend work required for school events or meetings. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
