Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Boat Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for boating, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in sales. As a Boat Salesperson, you will guide customers through the boat-buying process, build lasting relationships, and contribute to the dealership’s success. Key Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their boating needs, preferences, and budget. Showcase and demonstrate a variety of boats, highlighting features, specifications, and benefits. Provide expert advice on boat models, accessories, financing options, and maintenance services. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals. Negotiate sales terms and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and new boat models. Collaborate with the sales team, finance department, and service staff to ensure a seamless customer experience. Participate in boat shows, open houses, and promotional events to generate leads. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system. Qualifications: Proven sales experience, preferably in marine, automotive, or high-value retail industries. Strong knowledge of boats and the boating lifestyle (boating experience is a plus). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse customer base. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently. Basic computer skills, including CRM Lightspeed software and Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license and New York State boating license or certification Availability to work weekends, holidays, and during boat shows as needed. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with marine financing and warranty programs. Experience with social media or digital marketing to generate leads. Enthusiasm for outdoor recreational activities and the boating community.
