This role is ideal for a passionate professional with a refined culinary background, sharp attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through consistency and excellence. As Sous Chef, you will work directly alongside the Executive Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, maintain elevated culinary standards, and help guide and mentor a talented team in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including prep, service, quality control, and sanitation Support the Executive Chef in menu execution and development, ensuring flawless delivery and consistency of every dish Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment with a focus on growth and excellence Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, conducting regular line checks and enforcing kitchen protocols Monitor food inventory, manage waste, and assist with ordering and vendor relationships to maintain cost efficiency and quality standards Lead the kitchen during service in the absence of the Executive Chef, managing expediting and ensuring timely execution Maintain high levels of communication and collaboration with the culinary and front-of-house teams to support a seamless guest experience Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a fine dining or Michelin-caliber restaurant Strong culinary foundation with a deep understanding of classical techniques, seasonal cooking, and elegant plating Proven leadership skills with a calm, confident demeanor under pressure Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage prep schedules, training, and service timelines Culinary degree preferred but not required with the right experience Proficiency in kitchen systems and inventory platforms a plus If you’re a passionate, disciplined culinary professional with a drive for excellence and experience in fine dining, we invite you to apply today and grow your career in one of New York City's premier restaurant environments.
