Job Duties: Assist Head Chef in menu planning and creation of new dishes Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation Oversee food production and maintain high quality standards Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen Manage kitchen inventory and control food costs Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and best practises Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Relevant food safety certification Education: Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in menu planning and food costing Strong understanding of kitchen operations and management Creative flair and passion for culinary arts Knowledge of international cuisines Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant Culinary certifications or additional training Working Conditions: This role requires standing for long periods, working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
