Heavy Machine Operator - 12k Forklift - Hospitality Project

Job Description Job Description About the Role Covenant Development Group is hiring a certified Lift Operator to support our Orange Lake Resort renovation project in Orlando, FL. This is an on-site, outdoor role focused on safe and efficient operation of a 12,000 lb reach forklift to support construction logistics. This role is specifically for our two projects that will take place between August 2025 and February 2026. We will be looking to grow this role into a full time position after the completion of these projects, based on the employee's performance and value showcased. You’ll load and unload materials, transport goods from the laydown yard to active work zones, empty dumpsters, and assist with general site cleanup. You’ll work closely with the Covenant Development Group Superintendent and Shipplier Warehousing Team to maintain a clean, organized, and professional resort jobsite—while operating with full awareness that guests are on site. Key Responsibilities · Provide Support and Assistance to Covenant Superintendents and Field Team. · Safely operate a 12,000 lb reach forklift on paved and compacted surfaces · Load and unload box trucks and vendor deliveries · Transport materials and equipment between laydown yard and jobsite · Assist in site-wide material handling, staging, and redistribution of supplies · Empty jobsite dumpsters and coordinate waste flow with Superintendent · Support daily site cleanup and organization to ensure guest-safe conditions · Conduct daily forklift inspections and promptly report maintenance issues · Collaborate with Superintendent and Shipplier team to meet daily goals. Working Conditions • Outdoor, fast-paced environment on an active guest-occupied resort property • Regular interaction with vendors, warehouse teams, field crew, and guests in proximity • Reports to the Superintendent and Project Manager; takes direction from logistics lead during delivery drops • Must maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company safety and PPE standards Required Qualifications · • Valid Forklift Operator Certification (12,000 lb reach forklift experience required) · • 1 year of forklift operation experience in construction or material handling · • Comfortable navigating active jobsite logistics with guests nearby · • Able to lift and move up to 75 lbs, including assisting with FF&E deliveries as needed · • Valid Florida driver’s license and consistent daily transportation to site Preferred Qualifications · • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification · • Previous experience on hospitality renovation or guest-occupied commercial sites · • Familiarity with delivery coordination, laydown yard organization, and FF&E protocols Project Details • Project: Orange Lake Resort – Orlando, FL • Start Date: August 2025 • End Date: February 2026 • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Weekend Work: Occasional, depending on delivery volume and turnover phases Why Join Covenant?
