POSITION DESCRIPTION: Les Jardins Du Couvent, a welcoming private seniors' residence, is looking for a cook to fill a permanent, full-time position. We are currently looking for a cook (Senior profile) with extensive experience, passion, professionalism, and, above all, reliability. Permanent, full-time daytime position for 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend. $500 signing bonus ($250 after 3 months and $250 after 6 months) ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Suggest ideas for creating tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality Food Services Assemble plates of food Clean kitchen equipment Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Training certification (MAPAQ) A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent Good team player Good communication Minimum 5 years experience Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset.
