Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Full Fit Out Projects Manchester £38,000 to £55,000 Package Your new company You'll be joining a well-established and growing principal contractor based in Manchester that specialises in delivering high-quality commercial fit out and refurbishment projects across the North West. Your new role Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their close-knit commercial team and take responsibility for pricing and commercially managing full fit out projects valued up to £1million. The successful candidate will be involved from tender stage through to final account, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest standards. Responsibilities will include: Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Conducting site visits to assess and quantify works Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents Managing all commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously Producing valuations, cost plans, and cost reports Managing sub-contractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts Attending project meetings with internal teams and clients Monitoring project costs and managing variations Preparing and agreeing final accounts Supporting the team with forecasting and budgeting Working closely with project managers to ensure commercial success What you will need to succeed: Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within the fit out or refurbishment sector A solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes Proven track record of managing fit out projects from pre-construction to completion Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong negotiation, communication, and reporting skills Self-motivated, commercially astute and detail-oriented A valid UK driving licence A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred) What you get in return: Competitive salary of £38,000 to £55,000 Car allowance or company vehicle 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme Ongoing professional development and training opportunities The opportunity to work in a supportive and ambitious team on varied, high-quality projects across the region Flexible, open-minded management and clear opportunities for career progression This is a great opportunity to join a thriving contractor that values its people and takes pride in delivering some of the North West's most interesting commercial fit out schemes.
