We're looking for a dedicated Chef to join our friendly team where your culinary skills will directly contribute to the wellbeing and happiness of our residents. About the Role As our Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. You'll work closely with care staff to ensure every meal supports health, comfort, and enjoyment. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare and serve meals that are nutritious, appealing, and meet dietary requirements * Manage food stock and ordering in line with budgets * Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen * Cater for special dietary needs (e.g., diabetic, low salt, pureed diets) * Ensure meals are served on time and in a respectful, caring manner What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience as a Chef in a care or healthcare setting * Understanding of dietary needs and food safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene or higher) * Level 3 professional cookery or similar * Ability to plan menus and work within budgets * Compassion, reliability, and a strong team spirit * A genuine interest in improving the lives of older people
