FLT Counterbalance Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the business. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate counterbalance forklifts and other equipment for loading and unloading materials from lorries. Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents. Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain an organised yard environment, ensuring that all items are stored correctly. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations. Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as required, ensuring proper techniques are used. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain productivity. Requirements Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence Experience of working within a builders merchants Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as materials handling techniques. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in the workplace.
