Sous Chef

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities * Assist the Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production. * Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. * Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient teamwork and high morale. * Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. * Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. * Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials that reflect current culinary trends. * Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. * Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Qualifications * Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. * Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations. * Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. * Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food production. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. * A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences. * Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
