Opportunity Highlights Location: Rutherfordton, NC Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician Start Date: September 2025 Assignment Length: Long-term (6 months preferred) Shifts per Month: 8–10 shifts (nights and weekends preferred) Credentialing: Standard timeframe; no emergency privileges available Facility Snapshot Annual ED Volume: 30,000 visits ED Beds: 30 Patients per Hour: ~1.6 Trauma Designation: Non-Trauma Center EMR System: Meditech Admitting Orders: Managed by the Hospitalist team Schedule & Coverage Shift Times: 24-Hour Coverage Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM APC Coverage: 35 Hours Daily 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM Candidate Requirements Board Certification: ABEM or AOBEM (Board Eligible or Recently Boarded may be considered) Licensure: Active & Unrestricted North Carolina Medical License & DEA Certifications: ACLS Required Experience: Recent emergency medicine practice preferred in similar-volume settings Why Rhino Medical?
