School Administrator

Job Title: School Administrator Location: East London (Secondary Academy) Contract: Full-Time, 8:30am – 4:00pm (Term Time) Start Date: ASAP or September 2025 Pay: £16 per hour (PAYE) Type: Long-Term Placement We are working with a welcoming secondary academy in East London to recruit a reliable and professional School Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior school admin or reception experience to join a supportive team and contribute to the smooth running of the school office. The role is full-time, term time only, and expected to continue until the end of the academic year. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the front desk and act as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students * Answer incoming calls and direct queries to the appropriate team members * Maintain a tidy and professional reception area at all times * Provide general administrative support to the School Office Manager and wider admin team * Assist with daily tasks including attendance, filing, and record-keeping Requirements: * Previous experience working in a school setting (minimum 2 months required) * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) * Confident handling phone and in-person enquiries in a busy environment * Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills * Availability to start ASAP, ideally with no more than 2 weeks' notice Interested?
