School Caretaker | Uckfield | £24,000 - £26,000 Per Annum | Part-Time | PermanentAbout the RoleThis school is seeking a dependable and proactive School Caretaker to join their team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in the day-to-day running of the school.Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs on the school site. Ensure the premises are clean, secure, and well-presented. Open and lock the school daily, including alarm checks. Support with health and safety checks and compliance. Assist with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups. Maintain outdoor areas, including playgrounds, paths, and car parks. Respond to emergencies and report any hazards or issues promptly. What We're Looking For Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities (preferred). Basic DIY skills and familiarity with cleaning equipment. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
