An independent school in Islington is looking for a dedicated Cook to join its team from September. This is a temporary, part-time Cook position (0-hour contract), offering approximately 6 hours of work per day, with specific days to be confirmed. The ideal Cook will be committed to high food safety standards and preparing inspiring meals for children aged 3 to 14. Your contribution as a Cook will directly support student development. The school seeks a Cook who values a creative environment. This is a flexible opportunity for a skilled Cook. Role Summary: The successful Cook will be responsible for the preparation of high-quality, nutritious meals for the school's 206 pupils. A minimum Level 3 in Food Safety/Hygiene is required; however, candidates currently undertaking this training are also encouraged. What You'll Be Doing: * Preparing and cooking meals, always ensuring high standards of quality and nutrition. * Upholding excellent food hygiene practices and strictly adhering to safety regulations. * Fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere within the kitchen. * Working closely with other staff to cater to the diverse dietary needs of students.
