TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Lincolnton, North Carolina, 28092! Pay Information $2,122 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years LDRP experience; first-time travelers accepted if necessary License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM certification Must-Have: Management has approved the acceptance of candidates with Postpartum only, Labor & Delivery, or LDRP experience until specified otherwise. Description: The position involves working in a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum setting. The unit includes 10 LDRP beds, 2 OB beds, and 2 triage beds. The average patient census is about 7 per day. Patient ratios follow AWHONN Staffing Guidelines: 1:2 for inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3-4 for couplets. Nurses are expected to manage labor, circulate cesarean sections, handle pre-op and PACU, and provide triage and newborn resuscitation. Candidates should be willing to work in an LDRP setting. Support within the department includes scrub techs who set up delivery trays, assist with procedures, stock, clean the OR, and help with charges and equipment cleaning. Charge nurses are available in the unit, with respiratory therapy on-site 24/7. An anesthesia team is also part of the department. Telemetry monitoring is done to monitor and recover patients in their rooms unless under general anesthesia. The technology used includes an electronic medical record system, IV pumps, and fetal monitoring equipment. Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice, and traveling time between facilities will be compensated. Weekend rotation and holiday expectations are part of the scheduling, with travelers expected to work 75% of holidays. Travelers can request up to 6 days off, excluding holidays, and must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
