TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, 28086! Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Progressive Care Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 18 months in Progressive Care License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Essential nursing functions, teamwork, communication skills. Experience with tracheostomies, cardiac medications, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, and dressing changes. Management of central lines. Description: 58 licensed beds with no trauma designation. 33 bed unit. Required patient types and common diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, cellulitis, failure to thrive, altered mental status, chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patient ratios are approximately 1 RN to 5-6 patients. Support staff includes CNA for activities of daily living, vital signs, fingerstick blood glucose, telemetry monitoring, and assistance with admissions and discharges. Receptionist provides call triage and assists with admissions and discharges. Charge nurse typically manages without a patient assignment. Phlebotomy services and IV/VAT team support available. Resource nurse available based on staffing needs. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Hospitalists are available 24/7, offering a mix of in-person and virtual care. Telemetry monitoring is conducted at the nursing station and in a central monitoring area. Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice. Travelers will be compensated for travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift. Weekend rotation every other week with no on-call requirements. Holiday expectations include working 75% of holidays with the possibility of up to 6 requested days off, excluding holidays. Schedule cycles every 6 weeks.
