This Position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager Your role and responsibilities Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory, from purchase requisition to customer invoice. You will support internal customer service inquiries, set inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase requisition and purchase orders management. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, executing expediting activities, improving customer on-time delivery and lead times, and collaborating with stakeholders to reduce excess and obsolete inventory. Work model for this role is: LI-Hybrid. In this role, you'll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for: Segmenting the portfolio of materials through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management, and commercial policy; defining inventory policies; calculating and maintaining inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies; managing APO calendar setup and enhancements; performing multi-scenario simulations for inventory optimization; managing planning for consignment-stock at external suppliers or customer facilities. Releasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders aligned with customer requirements and authorization levels; monitoring supplier acknowledgments, dispatch advices, inbound freight, customs, and local transportation processes. Monitoring purchase order backlog and engaging with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery; minimizing late backlog, identifying root causes, and implementing recovery plans. Tracking received goods, managing inbound nonconformance reports, resolving supplier errors, and ensuring data quality and operational continuity. Managing Materials Resource Planning exception messages, conducting financial risk assessments, and root cause analyses. Performing inventory sanity checks, analyzing excess, obsolete inventory, and taking actions to optimize inventory; overseeing supplier performance reviews and reports. Qualifications for the role Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in material planning, with knowledge of Project Management and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Strong data analysis, structured thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in SAP MM, APO, and MS Excel. Fluent in Italian and English.
