Pay Information $2,757 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience required License: IN or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Solid neuro experience Description: This is a mixed acuity unit. It includes medical patients and some patients requiring progressive levels of care. Areas of care include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for medical-surgical patients and 1:3-4 for progressive care unit patients. Patients may require care involving medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin drips. The unit will see unstable strokes and patients utilizing BiPAP. Floating may be required within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby. Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Local candidates are not accepted for this position.
