About the role: As Se curity and Safety Director at our headquarters located in Palma, your main mission will be to lead the definition and evolution of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts' Security & Safety standards across guests, employees, assets and technology, defining the strategy, setting the roadmap, and ensuring global compliance while fostering a proactive Security and Safety culture. What will your key responsibilities be? Define and evolve the Security & Safety model across all Bahia Principe hotels, aligned with international standards and business needs, ensuring cosistency across all properties. Standardize and update core operational procedures for physical security, emergency response, fire safety, occupational risk prevention, and incident management. Advise and support hotels teams to ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures across all destinations. Monitor risk and compliance, driving regular assessments and KPI tracking (incident rates, severity, audit scores). Lead crisis management globally, including protocols for natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, and critical incidents. Assess and validate CAPEX investments in Security and Safety infrastructure and technology, in collaboration with financial and operational areas. Provide guidance on the integration of Security & Safety standards in new openings, renovations, and asset conversion projects, ensuring consistency across development phases. Evaluate and promote the implementation of security technologies aligned with the brand’s standards, including surveillance systems, monitoring platforms, and emergency solutions. Represent the brand in external forums, professional associations, and institutional security networks. Promote a strong Security and Safety culture throughout the organization through training, communication, and engagement. What are we looking for? Higher education in Engineering, Law, Criminology or similar fields. Additional specialized training in Corporate Security, Crisis Response, Risk Management or Compliance. Familiarity with international standards (ISO series) is a strong plus. More than ten years of experience in Security and Safety functions within international environments, ideally in multi-country operations and corporate group settings and with proven ability to define and implement global standards, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage budgets and teams for over 5 years. Experience in property openings, renovations and conversions, crisis and emergency management, executive protection, liaison with regulatory bodies and law enforcement, and compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS, OSH regulations). Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, business continuity planning, threat analysis, and evacuation protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized security management systems. Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Additional languages will be considered an asset. Ability to think long-term and translate complex scenarios into actionable an scalable frameworks. Confident and agile in high-stakes environtments, with a data-informed and risk-aware approach to decision-making under pressure. Based in Mallorca with availability to travel regularly.
