About the Role The Technical Architect partners with prospects and customers from pre-sales discovery through delivery, translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical architectures. You will engage directly with stakeholders to elicit requirements, design end-to-end solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, and guide delivery teams from MVP through full production rollout. Responsibilities: Client Discovery & Solution Framing Facilitate technical discovery, clarify requirements, define success metrics, and translate business needs into architectural options. Actively ensure these conversations take place during the pre-sales phase. Create high-level and low-level designs spanning application, data, integration, infrastructure, security, and DevOps. Leverage major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) plus on-prem or hybrid patterns; incorporate SaaS/PaaS, containerization, and serverless options where appropriate. Road-mapping & Phased Delivery Develop phased implementation plans—POC, MVP, pilot, and scale-out—balancing time-to-value with long-term resilience. Assess and recommend third-party platforms, APIs, and tooling (e.g., CRM, ERP, analytics, media pipelines, IoT, AI/ML) that align with customer objectives and constraints. Governance, Security & Compliance Ensure architectures meet reliability, interoperability, security, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR). Technical Leadership Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams—code reviews, PoCs, automation pipelines, and performance tuning. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Produce clear diagrams, runbooks, and hand-off materials consumable by both technical and executive audiences. About You The essentials: 10 years designing and implementing complex, distributed systems in mid- to large-scale enterprises or SaaS product companies. Proven client-facing consulting skills—able to articulate trade-offs, influence decisions, and build trusted relationships. Deep knowledge of at least two pillars below and working familiarity with the rest: Applications & Integration – microservices, API gateways, event-driven architectures, ESB/iPaaS. Security & Compliance – IAM, secrets management, threat modeling, auditing. DevOps & Automation – CI/CD, monitoring/observability, SRE practices. Ability to generate robust architectural documentation (HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, BOMs). Comfortable working in global, fully-remote, cross-functional teams. Not a must, but a plus: Industry-specific domain depth (e.g., media & entertainment, fintech, health-tech, manufacturing, gaming, public sector) Hands-on development background in modern languages (TypeScript, Go, Python, Java) or infrastructure automation. Familiarity with emerging paradigms like AI-enabled workflow automation, edge computing, XR, or IP-based media standards (e.g., SMPTE 2110, NDI) for media-centric clients. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, CISSP).
