Diesel Mechanic We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team at a luxury game lodge. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems on a variety of vehicles and machinery. Your technical knowledge and hands-on approach will be vital in ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across all operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy machinery. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and manage work orders. Maintain an organized workshop and manage tools and parts inventory. Assist in training junior mechanics and promote best practices. What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, ideally in a lodge, mining, or heavy industry setting. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid drivers license and relevant mechanical qualifications. A proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
