Food Technician – Secondary School – Haringey – ASAP Start Position: Food Technician ( Paying up to £125 a day ) Location: Haringey, North London Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm Contract: Long-term with potential Temp-to-Perm opportunity for the right person Are you an organised, proactive individual with a passion for supporting food technology education? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join their Design & Technology department as soon as possible. About the Role: As the school’s Food Technician, you will play a vital role in helping the Food Technology teacher deliver engaging and practical cooking lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include: * Preparing ingredients and equipment for practical food lessons * Assisting during lessons where required (Health & Safety focus) * Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the food preparation areas * Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed * Supporting students with special dietary requirements and ensuring food safety guidelines are followed * Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and reporting any faults What We’re Looking For: * Experience working in a school or food preparation environment (desirable but not essential) * Excellent organisation and time management skills * A strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * A positive attitude and willingness to support students from diverse backgrounds Ideal Background: This role would suit candidates with experience as a Food Technician, Catering Assistant, School Kitchen Assistant, or someone with a Hospitality/Catering NVQ or similar qualification. School experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided for the right candidate.
