Senior Test Engineer

Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Senior Test Engineer. You will provide both management and delivery of our Client’s customers’ System Integration and Testing requirements being a key resource ensuring that the system delivered is fit for use and fit for purpose. Day-to-day, you’ll be leading project teams by managing and guiding staff to deliver solutions for both new and existing customers providing technical leadership at the heart of Defences modernisation. Salary: £50-65k Location: Portsmouth- hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 days WFH) Duration: perm, full-time; 37 hours per week Requirements: eligible for SC Clearance Key responsibilities Providing technical leadership and assurance by understanding and interpreting the appropriate technical standards required Supporting the development of Test staff in both technical disciplines and resourcing decisions Being responsible for the development of the design and implementation of IT Technical test frameworks The production of technical delivery plans and high-level documentation including reports, presentations and roadmaps Understanding market requirements and future technology developments and applying them to technical solutions Essential experience: Extensive experience delivering technical contributions in IT System Integration, testing methodologies and acceptance trails Proven experience being a Technical Leader contributing to both success and growth Demonstrable experience of broad comprehensive understandings and concepts within the areas of System Engineering, System integration and System testing The ability to make complex judgements based on advanced analytical thought with a strong commercial awareness Previous experience identifying problems and providing pragmatic solutions Essential qualifications: A first degree in Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline Our Client values difference and they don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
