Dry Needling Trigger Point Dry Needling is a safe and effective technique that certified physical therapists use to help reduce pain and improve muscle function. So, what exactly is a trigger point? A trigger point is commonly referred to as a "knot” in the muscle and keeps the muscle from functioning properly. Using the recommended clean needle technique , your physical therapist will insert a filiform needle into the targeted muscle with the goal of getting a "twitch” response.
