Position Summary We are seeking a ServiceNow Lead Architect & Platform Manager to oversee the strategic direction, governance, and technical design of our domain-separated, multi-tenant ServiceNow environment. This hybrid leadership role combines hands-on technical architecture with strategic platform ownership , ensuring the platform’s scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is an expert in ServiceNow solutions with strong leadership skills, capable of guiding development teams while managing platform governance and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Platform Leadership & Governance Own the health, design, and roadmap of the enterprise ServiceNow instance. Define and enforce platform governance , best practices, and development standards to minimize technical debt. Serve as the primary point of contact for platform strategy, operations, and integrations across business units. Collaborate with stakeholders (InfoSec, architecture, delivery teams, business leaders) to align platform capabilities with organizational priorities. Manage platform upgrades, vendor maintenance, failover testing, and patching schedules . Technical Architecture & Development Lead the design and architecture of scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications. Guide integration design using REST/SOAP APIs, MID servers, and third-party connectors (e.g., LDAP, SSO/SAML, monitoring tools, ERP systems). Review and approve architectural diagrams, data models, and integration blueprints. Ensure platform security, compliance, performance, and scalability through robust design principles. Promote alignment with out-of-the-box capabilities whenever feasible. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ServiceNow developers, administrators, and business analysts. Oversee workload prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery execution. Conduct code reviews, technical workshops, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into technical solutions , and manage expectations. Provide executive leadership with regular updates, KPIs, and performance metrics for the platform and the team. Support business case creation for new features, modules, or integrations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 8 years of ServiceNow experience , including at least 3 years in a leadership or architect role. ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) and CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) in one or more modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, etc.). Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide scripting, UI Policies, Business Rules , and workflows. Proven track record in integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems (LDAP, SSO, CMDB, monitoring tools, HR systems). Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices. Experience managing multi-tenant or domain-separated environments . Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow projects. Preferred Qualifications CAD (Certified Application Developer) or CTA (Certified Technical Architect). Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies. Exposure to ITOM Discovery, Event Management, SecOps, or AI/ML features in ServiceNow. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences. Ability to balance technical depth with strategic vision . Skilled in decision-making under pressure, managing competing priorities, and building consensus.
