Shift: Variable Days – 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Description: Performs routine and special imaging procedures. Prepares and positions patients correctly for exams, following protocol-specific requirements. Assists physicians during procedures as necessary. Operates and maintains imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness. Observes and maintains established standards of care and safety. Demonstrates professional judgment in the performance of all procedures. Provides direct patient care, ensuring a supportive experience. Performs quality assurance and equipment calibrations as needed. Prints patient CDs when required. Notifies the front desk upon exam completion. Shows images to radiologists and communicates STAT results to attending physicians when applicable. May serve as an instructor or preceptor for trainees. Educates patients and families about their examinations. Capable of providing care across all age groups – pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Participates in staff meetings and ongoing education. Provides rotational coverage to outpatient sites based on departmental needs. May be required to work holidays, overtime, or alternate shifts to maintain adequate coverage. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or must obtain ARRT MR certification within one year of hire. Must maintain 24 ECE credits every two years per governing body standards. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA is required within 90 days of hire. IV certification preferred or must be obtained within six months of orientation. MRI Safety Certification Level 2 required annually.
