Navico Connect EMEA consists of specialized departments of Sales, PM, Finance, Ops, R&D and technical support, working together to develop Navico Connect solutions and packages for customers. Navico Connect departments leads the technical development of allNavicoConnect projects including integration projects developed forthe Marine and Mobile industries. The purpose of this role is to design, build, integrate, test in office and on boat, document and maintain software applications and systems in collaboration with the Navico Connect Teams. Primary Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all-inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned. With minimal guidance from a manager, develops, deploys, tests, and maintains software for logic, automation, UI, and UX by utilizing appropriate tools and programming languages. Ensures implementation aligns with design specifications, technical requirements, electrical schematics, and/or function lists. Actively contributesto the development, documentation, and maintenance of software architecture, core components, and applications. Independently develops, documents, and maintains algorithmswith minimal supervision. Participates in requirements reviews. Troubleshoots operational and integration issues, reporting any critical issues or weaknesses to the manager and suggesting potential improvements. Integrates and develops software components, performs testing both on the bench and in the target environment when possible. Troubleshoots defects and documents test results. Supports delivery and service teams, both remotely and on-site. Capable of independently managing project testing and delivery on board. Collaborates with Navico R&D teamson integration-related tasks and projects. Occasionally train customers or dealers in product usage or what is required. Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in automation/automotive/monitoring software tools like SCADA dev tools, PLC dev tools. Basic experience on Kanzi or Unity Engine or Unreal Engine tools are appreciated. Solid understanding of electrical schematics , and hardware/software architecture of marine vessels. Basic experience with Linux and Android application and OS development. Programming knowledge including: Basic C and C++ Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Python Full-stack web development Familiarity with version control and tracking tools such as Bitbucket , Git , and Jira , with exposure to CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) practices. Experience with graphic design tools . Skills in system integration , simulation , and testing . Education: Bachelor’s degree in one of the Engineering Sciences Work experience: 2 years in technical department Required Soft Skills: Passion for technology and innovation Attention to detail and a strong learning mindset Team-oriented with a proactive problem-solving attitude Ability to perform well under pressure Willingness to take the initiative and propose solutions that add value to the team Next is Now!
