Job Description
Position: Technical Support Specialist - Part Time Location: West Palm Beach, FL Job ID: IT 7.25.2025 Openings: 1 Position Description: The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. This role involves receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests, using diagnostics and help request tracking tools, and providing hands-on support at the desktop level. Responsibilities: Proactively monitor and support end user hardware and software needs in a timely manner. Prioritize workload to resolve critical issues first. Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software. Assist in testing new hardware and software prior to deployment. Configure, monitor, and maintain mobile security and virus protection software. Maintain hardware and software inventories. Install, configure, and troubleshoot content management systems. Manage web environment, including maintenance, security, testing, and content updates. Support VOIP phone systems, cellphones, and printers/copiers as backup. Create and maintain user documentation for help desk support. Ensure equipment remains operational through repairs and following manufacturer instructions. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Participate in ongoing education and professional development. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and other regulatory requirements. Participate in disaster preparedness planning related to security and data protection. Requirements: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Computer Science or IT preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a technology-related role, with helpdesk/support experience preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint), operating systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required. Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in microcomputer operations, networking, and application support. Excellent communication skills, including heavy telephone interaction. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
