The Italian market is a key focus for the company's strategy and development in the coming years. About the Role The Head of Sales Italy will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy across Italy. The role involves leading and developing the national sales team, driving growth through both direct and indirect channels, and collaborating with international departments such as Marketing, Product Management, and Logistics. The position requires close coordination with HENDI’s international team, particularly with the office based in Austria, including monthly meetings, and involves regular travel within Italy. To stay close to customers and logistics partners, residence should be within the Milan, Bolzano, and Rome triangle. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the commercial strategy for Italy aligned with group objectives. Team Management: Lead, coach, and expand a high-performing sales team. Channel Development: Optimize sales channels between wholesale/distribution and direct-to-customer. Customer Focus: Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners. Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, forecast demand, and ensure profitability. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations for seamless execution. Market Insights: Identify opportunities, risks, and trends within the Italian foodservice equipment market. International Coordination: Collaborate regularly with the international commercial team in Austria. Candidate Profile Proven sales leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, foodservice equipment, or FMCG industries. Deep understanding of the Italian B2B market and distribution models. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Commercial mindset with strategic vision and hands-on approach. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. High intercultural competence and ability to operate in an international matrix organization. Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus. Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and attend international meetings in Austria or the Netherlands (70-90%). Residence ideally within the Milan, Bolzano, Rome triangle.
