Job Description
Position : Technical Support Specialist - Part Time Location : West Palm Beach, FL Job Id : IT 7.25.2025 Openings : 1 Position Overview : The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving end user help requests, often involving diagnostics, help request tracking tools, and hands-on desktop support. Key Responsibilities : Proactively monitor and support end user hardware and software needs. Prioritize workload to address critical issues promptly. Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software. Assist in testing new hardware and software prior to deployment. Manage mobile security and virus protection software. Maintain hardware and software inventories. Maintain content management systems, websites, and related security and quality assurance activities. Backup support for VOIP phone systems, cellphones, and printers/copiers. Create and maintain user documentation and help desk resources. Ensure equipment functionality through repairs and evaluations. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on industry standards. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and other regulatory requirements. Participate in disaster preparedness planning for data and equipment security. Qualifications : High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT preferred. At least 2 years of relevant experience, with helpdesk/support background preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint), operating systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance is required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Skills : Proficiency in microcomputer operations, networking, and application support. Strong communication skills, including phone interactions. Effective time management and organizational skills.
