Position : Technical Support Specialist - Part Time Location : West Palm Beach, FL Job Id : IT 7.25.2025 Openings : 1 Position Overview : The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve diagnostics, help request tracking tools, and hands-on desktop assistance. Key Responsibilities : Proactively monitor and support end user hardware and software in a timely manner. Prioritize workload to resolve critical issues first. Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software. Assist in testing new hardware and software prior to deployment. Configure, monitor, and maintain mobile security and virus protection software. Maintain hardware and software inventories. Install, configure, and troubleshoot content management systems. Manage web environments, including maintenance, security, testing, and content updates. Support VOIP phone systems, mobile devices, and printers as backup. Create and maintain user documentation for help desk support. Ensure equipment functionality through repairs and following manufacturer instructions. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Participate in ongoing education and professional development. Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates like HIPAA and licensing agreements. Contribute to disaster preparedness and data security plans. Qualifications : High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a tech support role, with familiarity in Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and operating systems. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Skills : Proficiency in microcomputer operations, networking, and application support. Excellent communication skills, including phone support. Strong organizational skills and ability to establish professional relationships.
