Job Description

Position : Technical Support Specialist - Part Time Location : West Palm Beach, FL Job Id : IT 7.25.2025 Openings : 1 Position Overview : The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving end user help requests, utilizing diagnostics and help request tracking tools, and providing hands-on support at the desktop level. Key Responsibilities : Monitor and support end user hardware and software proactively and promptly. Prioritize workload to address critical issues first. Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software. Test new hardware and software before deployment. Manage mobile security and virus protection software. Maintain hardware and software inventories. Install, configure, and troubleshoot content management systems. Manage web environments, including maintenance, security, testing, and content updates. Support VOIP phone systems, cellphones, and printers/copiers as backup. Create and maintain user documentation for help desk support. Keep equipment operational through repairs, following manufacturer instructions and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Enhance knowledge through professional development and networking. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and licensing agreements. Participate in disaster preparedness and data security planning. Qualifications : High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT preferred. At least two years of experience in a technical support role, with proficiency in Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint) and operating systems, along with troubleshooting skills. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Skills : Proficiency in microcomputer operations, networking, and application support. Excellent communication skills, including phone support. Strong time management and organizational abilities.
