Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine Physician

Job Title: Physician - Neonatology Join a well-respected and established Neonatology practice in Wichita, Kansas, that is dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a team-based environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a Neonatologist to be part of a dynamic QI team while contributing to a high-caliber Level-III NICU at a major medical center. With a significant number of annual deliveries and a robust support system, this facility is a cornerstone of neonatal care in the region. Job Responsibilities: Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available Part of an 8-physician practice at Wesley Medical Center Combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule with approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverage Provide in-house call and backup call from home Work in a Level-III, 60-bed NICU with 6,000 deliveries each year Manage intensive and special care units with an average daily census of 54 and around 1,000 admissions annually Deliver a full range of neonatal services, excluding ECMO and heart surgery Collaborate with residents and nurse practitioners Participate in QI and research opportunities affiliated with the KU School of Medicine Wichita Open to new Fellow graduate candidates already BC in Pediatrics Accepting J1 & H1B visa candidates Qualifications: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Pediatrics Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or Fellowshipped-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) Kansas medical license (or willing to obtain) Clean malpractice and license history (preferred) DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) License and Certification Requirements: Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or Board Certified - REQUIRED KS medical license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED Visa support - J1 or H1B (note required) Wichita, KS, is known for its vibrant cultural scene, affordable living, and diverse recreational opportunities, making it a great place to live and work.
