Job Description Job Description Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer – Transportation We have an opportunity for a talented Project Civil Engineer / Sr. Project Civil Engineer (Transportation) . Our client has an opening for a Project Civil Engineer / Sr. Project Civil Engineer with a focus on transportation related civil design. You will assist the Project Managers with the delivery of transportation projects. Our engineering team is currently involved in a variety of highway and local agency projects, including interchange design, roadway widening and rehabilitation, intersection improvements, complete streets, downtown revitalization, sidewalk and bicycle facilities, trails and parks, transit, drainage and water quality improvements. Typical projects include transformative active transportation, transit and roadway/highway projects for clients such as the Cities of Sacramento and Roseville, Caltrans and Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT). Our ideal candidate will bring their education and experience along with a collaborative spirit to begin work on both current and upcoming projects. Responsibilities Executing technical tasks and deliverables, and coordinating a broad range of assignments requiring previous experience on transportation projects (i.e. intersection/roadway widenings, highway widening, interchange, bike trails/paths, etc.) Design efforts will be concentrated in transportation engineering which may include research & analysis, engineering studies, street and highway design, design of transit and bicycle facilities, drainage and water quality design, traffic control/stage construction design, signing/striping, and utility coordination Coordinating with sub-consultants and internal project team members Represent the company by meeting with clients, preparing and delivering presentations Provide direction and mentorship for younger engineers Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in civil engineering (8 years for Sr. PE) Working knowledge in roadway design software and AutoCAD Must be familiar with Caltrans, local agency and AASHTO design standards and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience in Civil 3D, Microstation and OpenRoads knowledge Benefits Enjoy hybrid and flexible work schedules, an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by our client !
