The Bayshore Northern Staffing team has proudly been working in partnership with to Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) and Northern Communities across Canada since 1997 sending healthcare professionals on travel assignments to bring high-quality healthcare services to the Northern communities in need. Now, we are looking for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with Emergency Room (ER) experience to join our new travel team who will be sent on short-term assignments across British Columbia providing 24/7 care to patients whose conditions are potentially life threatening and require complex interventions, comprehensive care, and intensive monitoring. All applicants must have a current and valid RN license in British Columbia or be willing to obtain the necessary provincial license. Why Join Us? Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to patients in an intensive care department. Build a trusting and respectful connection with patients by showing empathy, protecting their privacy and dignity, and supporting their right to make informed decisions about their care. Participate in the discharge planning process for patients by ensuring the care plan is established and implemented effectively. Document assessments, nursing diagnosis, observations, interventions, patient/family responses, outcomes/evaluations, and referrals Candidate Requirements Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). A minimum of 18 months (1.5 years) of experience working in an Emergency Room environment, and a proven ability to complete patient assessments and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions.
