Our client, is seeking an experienced and hands-on VP Finance / CFO to join their executive leadership team. This is a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and operational success of a people-driven business that delivers high-impact services across North America.What You'll Be Doing:- Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with senior leadership in Canada and the U.S. to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.- Team Empowerment & Development: Lead and mentor a talented finance team including the Corporate Controller and Operational Controller. Foster a high-performance culture that supports operational excellence.- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to operations, bringing financial insight to key decisions across departments, including pricing strategies, customer profitability, and cost optimization.- Process Optimization & Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation and optimization of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), and work with IT to streamline reporting and operational workflows.- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:Drive the company's budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement processes with accuracy, insight, and efficiency.- M&A and Growth Strategy: Support and evaluate potential acquisitions and new service lines, ensuring strategic alignment and financial viability.Who You Are:- Finance Leader in the Service Sector: 10 years of experience in senior finance roles, preferably in the service industry (e.g., logistics, staffing, maintenance, hospitality, professional services).- CPA with Strategic Acumen: CPA designation required. Strong foundation in accounting, paired with business intelligence and strategic thinking.- Proven Change Agent: Experienced in leading process improvement and ERP implementations; skilled at modernizing finance functions in growth-focused organizations.- Collaborative & Hands-On: Comfortable working both strategically and tactically.
