Overview Located in the vibrant heart of the fashion district of Milan, The Carlton (opening in 2025) will have 71 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a wellness center and an exclusive garden lounge with an amazing view of the city. Designed by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the interior will combine tradition and modernity, delivering an authentic Milanese experience. Situated in a prime location overlooking Via della Spiga, renowned for its luxury boutiques, and just a few steps from Via Montenapoleone, The Carlton is set to become the new landmark of the fashion district. The Position ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER Main purpose Responsibilities The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for Front Office and Housekeeping. He / She is one of our Ambassadors of Excellence: quality and Guest care will be his / her main focus. Responsible for the operations, strategies and development of the Rooms Division Department, ensuring the highest standards of service. Support and coordinate the department Managers to achieve the relevant key performance indicators of the property. Reports to: Hotel Manager. Responsible for Room Division (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Concierge departments) effective management and standards delivery; role model of Rocco Forte Hotels service style. Responsible for selection, appraisal and professional training and development of the Rooms Division staff; talent management, acting as a coach and trainer for all Rooms Division staff. Ensure Guests are greeted in a warm and professional manner, in accordance with Rocco Forte Hotels standards. Develop operating budget for the Rooms Division revenue, costs, staffing and equipment; monitor and take corrective actions to attain budgeted goals. Assist the Hotel Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Rooms Division. Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve the Guest experience. Assist the Hotel Manager and the General Manager with special projects (e.g. weddings, conferences and partnerships). Develop and implement strategies based on competitor benchmarks and market trends. Cooperate with all Managers to achieve Hotel goals and provide the best personalized experience to Guests. A third language is preferred (Spanish, French or German). Professional experience as Room Division Manager in 5-star hotels. Preferable degree in hotel management. Preferable evidence of self-development through specialized courses, conferences or workshops. Knowledge of Health & Safety provisions at international and national level.
