Fishing Guide

Qualifications & Experience Essential Proven experience as a professional fishing guide (fly-fishing, trout, bass, or tigerfish depending on lodge location). Strong angling skills with knowledge of local species and techniques. Valid First Aid & CPR certification. Valid drivers license and boat license (if motorized boats are used). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong swimming ability and water safety knowledge. Preferred FGASA Level 1 (or higher) Nature Guide qualification, or equivalent guiding certification. Knowledge of local ecology, birdlife, and wildlife. Hospitality experience in a lodge, safari, or outdoor tourism environment. Multilingual abilities (advantage with international guests). Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
