Role As a 2nd Engineer, you will serve as a role model, responsible for performing engine watch operations, controlling and maintaining machinery, updating and controlling the planned maintenance system (PMS), and ensuring safety standards. Key responsibilities include: Ensure smooth ship operations and maintenance of machinery, inspiring confidence and reliability in the team. Maintain a safety and efficiency-focused environment, leading the team with enthusiasm and trust. Stay passionate about new technologies and willingness to learn. Responsibilities Carry out watch according to official standards. Oversee maintenance and checks per PMS for designated tasks in cooperation with the Senior Engineer of the watch. Report all relevant changes and information to the SEOOW. Guide colleagues in professional development, trainings and safety protocols. Cultivate a supportive work environment and motivate the team to achieve excellent results. Safety & Compliance Familiarize and act according to latest HESS (Health, Environmental, Safety and Security) rules and regulations. Create a welcoming and secure environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected. What makes you unique Holder of national second engineer certificate of competency (COC III/2 unlimited) per STCW regulations. At least one year of experience as a watchkeeping Engineer on a cruise vessel or as 2nd Engineer on different types of vessels. B2 level English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
