Job Description

Were seeking a highly skilled Hotel Maintenance Manager Projects to join the engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will: Oversee and manage all hotel maintenance projects, renovations, and refurbishments. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Develop, plan, and manage hotel maintenance and refurbishment projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure projects meet objectives. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance staff and project teams. Allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure efficient project delivery. Provide guidance and training to enhance team competencies. Budgeting & Cost Control Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditure. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions. Implement measures to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Quality & Standards Ensure all projects comply with hotel standards, local regulations, and safety requirements. Conduct site inspections and quality checks throughout project phases. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. Maintain safe working conditions for all staff, contractors, and guests. Monitor compliance with environmental and building regulations. Team Collaboration Work closely with hotel management, operations, and engineering teams to minimize disruption to hotel services. Report regularly on project progress, risks, and outcomes. Qualifications & Education Requirements Trade qualification or degree in Engineering, Building, Project Management, or related field. Proven experience in managing construction, renovation, or maintenance projects in hotels or large facilities. Preferred Skills Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Experience Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance management or project management, preferably in a hotel, resort, or large commercial environment. ⚠️ Important Application Notes Must hold a valid South African ID.
