This Utility Systems Repairer-Operator (USRO) position is located in Rocky Mountain National Park in the Facilities Maintenance Division. The USRO will install, maintain, and repair utility systems, monitor systems, and ensure safety and compliance. This is a Career Seasonal position. Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Operate, maintain, and monitor a water treatment system. Inspect, activate, deactivate, maintain, and repair a potable water distribution system. Ensure water meets the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act and State Department of Public Health and Environment standards to include testing, adjusting and using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Repair and maintain all facets of a potable water treatment facility including repair work on plumbing fixtures, service lines, and valves. (Full performance level) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instructions If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. Address your knowledge, skills and/or abilities in the areas shown in the job-related factors. REQUIRED WATER LICENSES: You MUST include a copy of these licenses with your application packet. Failure to include copies of required licenses will result in disqualification. Licenses to qualify for WG 07: By closing date of announcement for the WG 07 level, the candidate must have either a Colorado Water Treatment class D and/or a Colorado Water Distribution grade 1 license (or other state equivalent). During the training period, the candidate is expected to obtain a Colorado Water Treatment class C license, Colorado Water Distribution grade 1, and a Colorado Class B CDL with tanker endorsement. Licenses to qualify for WG 09: By closing date of announcement for the WG 09 level, the candidate must have a Colorado Water Treatment class C license, a Colorado Water Distribution grade 1, AND a Colorado Class B (or higher) CDL with tanker endorsement. Other states' equivalent licenses are also acceptable. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
