Job Title: Business Development Manager - Managed Networks Location: Field Based - Travel Required (UK Based) Package: Competitive, based on experience Overview We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK network managed services company for a Business Development Manager with strong experience in SD-WAN solutions and a solid understanding of the Retail / Hospitality sector. This role is a great opportunity for a driven and tenacious sales professional to play a key role in expanding market presence and winning new business. You'll be responsible for identifying and nurturing opportunities, building strong client relationships, and leading the sales process from initial engagement through to closing. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and a solid understanding of network technologies and managed service offerings. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a focused business development strategy to drive sales across the retail vertical. Identify, target, and engage new prospects through outbound activity, networking, referrals, and industry events. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Deliver tailored presentations and solution demonstrations to highlight the value of SD-WAN and related managed services. Prepare detailed, client-specific proposals including pricing, technical elements, and delivery plans. Lead negotiations and manage the full contract process to successful deal closure. Collaborate with technical, implementation, and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting via CRM systems. Keep informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and changes in the retail technology landscape. Experience & Skills Required Essential: Proven success in a B2B sales role, ideally within SD-WAN, managed services Strong understanding of retail industry challenges and technology needs. Solid grasp of managed services models including proactive monitoring, cloud connectivity, and network support. Experienced in bring in net new logo's/acquistions Confident communicator with excellent presentation and proposal-writing skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals. Experience working independently in a remote sales role. Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline reporting.Desirable: Experience selling to large retailers or multi-site enterprises. Awareness of cybersecurity solutions and cloud platforms.
