Quantity Surveyor – Whitstable, Kent £55,000 – £65,000 Package Permanent Role | Fit-Out Contractor Hill McGlynn is proud to be partnering with a well-established and fast-growing fit-out contractor based in Whitstable, currently looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding project portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with a strong fit-out background to join a business delivering high-spec projects across sectors such as commercial offices, hospitality, retail, and bespoke interiors. The Role: As Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial elements of fast-paced fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll work closely with project managers and directors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation * Procuring and managing subcontractor packages * Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts * Conducting cost analysis and value engineering where applicable * Producing regular commercial reports and forecasts * Ensuring contract compliance and commercial best practices * Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal project teams Ideal Candidate Profile: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out sector * Strong understanding of commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and interior projects * Excellent knowledge of contracts (JCT preferred), procurement, and project cost control * Highly organised with strong communication and negotiation skills * Capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience) What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000, depending on experience * Attractive package * Opportunity to work with a growing, design-focused fit-out contractor * Clear career progression within a supportive commercial team Apply Today If you're a Quantity Surveyor with fit-out experience and looking for your next challenge, please apply by submitting your CV today
