Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly school catering team in Clayton, Peterborough. This is a great opportunity to play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our school kitchen and ensuring pupils enjoy healthy, nutritious meals every day. Key Responsibilities * Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff. * Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and dining areas. * Washing up, cleaning equipment, and ensuring work areas are kept tidy. * Receiving and storing deliveries safely and in line with food hygiene regulations. * Supporting the catering team to ensure efficient service during busy meal times. About You * Food Hygiene training/qualification is essential. * Experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment (school experience desirable but not essential). * A strong understanding of safe food handling and storage practices. * Reliable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team. * Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
